Through a host of association events, you have the opportunity to network with your peers and stay informed about the latest changes within the building industry. Publications & Information
As a member, you’ll receive subscriptions to Foundations, the quarterly EPHBA member newsletter providing you with news on association activities and updates, West Virginia Builder with housing news from across the state and the weekly Nation’s Building News e-newsletter from the National Association of Home Builders. You also receive the association's Need to Know e-bulletin each week with up-to-date local news and information.
You also have member-only access to nahb.org with thousands of resources on everything from green building to business management.
Promotion & Marketing Exposure
There are many opportunities for promoting your company’s products and services. Advertising in Foundations newsletter is offered to EPHBA members and is one of the best opportunities to reach your target audience - the construction industry. All members are listed in the association’s Membership Directory/Buyers Guide along with up to four business categories based for your business. You also have exclusive member-only opportunities to advertise in the directory or to sponsor any variety of events throughout the year. Builders are recognized for outstanding projects through the Best in West Virginia building awards program.
EPHBA offers all members the opportunity to take advantage of our membership e-mail list. We will send up to 4 emails per year to the entire membership - free of charge. The association’s website includes the same listings and contact information in the printed directory as well as links to your website at no charge.
Government Affairs
A very important benefit comes through the Government Affairs Committee along with HBA staff’s work in the Eastern Panhandle on issues affecting the building industry. Our strong membership provides the Association with the force necessary to influence local, state and national issues affecting your business. We are dedicated staying current on important issues in order to keep our members informed and advocate for your best interests.
Education
By attending valuable educational programs offered throughout the year, members can improve skills and gain more knowledge about business and the construction industry. This includes building codes, energy efficiency and green building, lead paint training, etc.
Special Events
High-impact events such as the Home Show, Harvest of Homes and Habitat Blitz Build allow our members to promote their products, themselves and the industry. The association’s annual golf outing offers a relaxing day on the links as well as opportunities to connect with other members.
HBA Logos & Mailing Labels
Let your customers know you’re an HBA member by using the HBA logo on your ads and business materials. Members can also obtain mailing labels of HBA members for a nominal fee.
Public Relations
The HBA works through the local media to promote the image of our members and our industry while creating awareness of the positive impact our members are making in the community. This includes recognizing outstanding building in the area as well and community service projects including work with Habitat for Humanity.
